Tea Cup with Lid 250 ml
The lid is a food contact article too
DKK 215incl. 25% moms
A 250 ml cup with a ceramic lid that sits in a recess rather than on the rim, so it does not slide off when you tilt it. The lid doubles as a rest for a used bag. Both cup and lid are food contact articles and both are covered by the Declaration of Compliance on file.
Delivery from DKK 45 in Denmark, free over DKK 600. 14-day right of withdrawal and two-year right to complain on everything here.

Cooling: 95 °C down to 64 °C in ten minutes
31 degrees over ten minutes. Ceramic has no vacuum layer. A thicker wall cools more slowly than a thin one, and that is the whole of the effect — none of these cups keep a drink hot the way a vacuum flask does.

The reading at ten minutes is measured. The points between are Newton’s law of cooling fitted through it — see how we measure cooling.
Food safety
- Food contact
- Yes. This is a food contact article under Regulation (EU) No 1935/2004 and carries the glass-and-fork mark on its packaging.
- Glaze
- Lead-free stoneware glaze, food contact
- Lead and cadmium
- Fillable to more than 25 mm, so the Council Directive 84/500/EEC limits that apply are lead 4.0 mg/L and cadmium 0.3 mg/L.
- Other parts in the box
Ceramic lid, Ø 76 mm — Glazed stoneware. Food contact article.
How to use it
- Microwave
- Suitable.
- Dishwasher
- Suitable. 88 mm tall, 74 mm across — check that against your basket.
- Temperature
- Avoid sudden temperature changes. Do not pour boiling water into a cold cup straight from the fridge, and do not move a hot cup into cold water — ceramic can crack from thermal shock.
- Variation
- Each cup is finished by hand, so dimensions vary by up to ±5% and no two glazes are identical. Variation in colour, glaze pooling and small surface pinholes are characteristics of the process, not faults.
How and where it is made
- Forming
- Cast in a mould, then trimmed, handled and glazed by hand
- Designed in
- Denmark
- Made in
- Poland
- Packing
- Cups travel in single-cup cushioned boxes. If something arrives broken, photograph the box and the pieces and tell us within 14 days of delivery — we replace or refund, and we pay the return postage.
Not sure this is the one?
Cup Match asks three questions and filters on the measurements rather than on taste. It will tell you which cups have a wall of 8 mm or more, which have a handle opening of 32 mm or more, and which have no handle at all.
