Sake-Style Cup 90 ml

Ninety millilitres, 4 mm wall

DKK 105incl. 25% moms

A small handleless cup in the sake style, with a thin 4 mm wall. It holds so little that a warm drink is gone before it cools; a cold one warms up equally fast. Also the cup people buy for espresso when they do not want a handle.

Delivery from DKK 45 in Denmark, free over DKK 600. 14-day right of withdrawal and two-year right to complain on everything here.

Cooling: 95 °C down to 53 °C in ten minutes

42 degrees over ten minutes. Ceramic has no vacuum layer. A thicker wall cools more slowly than a thin one, and that is the whole of the effect — none of these cups keep a drink hot the way a vacuum flask does.

The reading at ten minutes is measured. The points between are Newton’s law of cooling fitted through it — see how we measure cooling.

Food safety

Food contact
Yes. This is a food contact article under Regulation (EU) No 1935/2004 and carries the glass-and-fork mark on its packaging.
Glaze
Lead-free celadon glaze, food contact
Lead and cadmium
Fillable to more than 25 mm, so the Council Directive 84/500/EEC limits that apply are lead 4.0 mg/L and cadmium 0.3 mg/L.
Declaration of Compliance
DOC-DK-2026-032
Held on file. Ask us for a copy and we will send it.

How to use it

Microwave
Suitable.
Dishwasher
Suitable. 56 mm tall, 52 mm across — check that against your basket.
Temperature
Avoid sudden temperature changes. Do not pour boiling water into a cold cup straight from the fridge, and do not move a hot cup into cold water — ceramic can crack from thermal shock.
Variation
Each cup is finished by hand, so dimensions vary by up to ±5% and no two glazes are identical. Variation in colour, glaze pooling and small surface pinholes are characteristics of the process, not faults.

Not sure this is the one?

Cup Match asks three questions and filters on the measurements rather than on taste. It will tell you which cups have a wall of 8 mm or more, which have a handle opening of 32 mm or more, and which have no handle at all.
